Local shops close by, only five minutes into unique little town of Valbonne and ten minutes into Grasse. Can sleep up to 19 + a baby. 6 bedrooms/6 bathrooms in Main House. Annex sleeps additional 4 people. Also suitable for weddings and other celebrations. Saturday to Saturday bookings only in high season. 4 days minimum booking out of season.

This place is gorgeous! Equally suited to holiday groups, celebration groups or weddings. Its location between the popular towns of Valbonne and Grasse place it in the centre of the Cote d'Azur heartland. The Bastide gives a real feeling of Provencal old-world elegance. The predominant themes are calming Farrow & Ball-esque creams and olive greens with the occasional splash of bright colour from the original artworks on the walls. The 'winter' kitchen still has the original horse troughs which have been cleverly recycled to make storage space. The terrace even has heaters so the bastide can be enjoyed in the colder months. Highly recommended for holidays or celebrations.
About Bastide de Grasse
An authentic 18th Century stone Bastide, south-facing and set in 3 acres of grounds amongst olive trees with private heated swimming pool and stunning views across the countryside towards the sea (the Bay of Cannes). beautifully secluded and tranquil despite its proximity to shops and services.
The entire property is decorated in cool cream and olive greens with splashes of colour lent by the original artwork on the walls. Colours and ambience have played a big part in the success of the renovation.
The Main House measures 450m² (4850 sq ft) and has 6 spacious and well appointed bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms and air-conditioning.
In addition, there is a newly and sympathetcially renovated Cottage to sleep 4 additional people with 1 x double + 1 x twin bedroom + shower room.
The living room, dining room, guest toilet and laundry/utility room are located on the ground floor along with a fully fitted spacious Mark Wilkinson (winter) kitchen (in what were the stables, complete with feed bins) with oak spiral staircase leading up to the TV room (also can be used as a playroom). The living room and dining rooms open out on to a typically Provencal courtyard providing plenty of space for outdoor entertaining and including a petanque court. The summer kitchen opens out on to an outdoor terrace overlooking the pool with sea views. The terrace even has heaters to ward off the evening damps out of season.
Situated in the heart of the Cote d’Azur, the Bastide was the home of a venerable Italian racing car driver; then it was completely restored by a well-known British travel journalist and author; and now it is enjoyed by an international family.

The house is ideal for 2-3 families, or up to 8 couples in the main house and cottage annex. It provides plenty of space for guests to spread out in the coirtyard or on the lawns. It is also very well suited to weddings or private parties/corporate events (up to 80 guests). There is parking space for several cars.
